| On November 28 2010 I lost my uncle Bernard A. Dekau to Parkinson's disease. I have spent several weeks trying to make any sense of it and I still haven't and maybe I never will. I do know something I can do. I can raise money to try and stop it. To do this I need some help. So I am asking everyone who comes to the store and plays in our events to help.
During 2011 any of the events in the store that have prize support will be used to raise money for the Micheal J. Fox Foundation.
That means all of our monthly Games Workshop events will be Cheat for Charity events. During these games we will auction off first turn and setup area. You will also be allowed to buy dice re-rolls for 25 cents per die. I realize this will not appeal to some of our more serious players but I believe this will be a great way to raise some money for a good cause and have a lot of fun doing it.
I will also ask everyone attempting the record for the Worlds Longest Boardgame Marathon in June to get some per hour donation pledges. If our current record holders come back to defend their record I will pledge $2.00 an hour for them. If they are unable to make it I will find another team to pledge to.
I have been in contact several game manufacturers and distributors and hopefully I will be able to extend this beyond our GW events and the record attempt.
Thank you for you support Bernard Hite Sinclair
